Beyond isolation: How we use our Wards
On site we have a large facility that is specifically designed to minimise the stress for your pets where we can. Central to this is to keep our cats and dogs separate. On site we have a large dog kennels out of earshot from the cat ward. A benefit of keeping both species separate means their experiences and recoveries are far more peaceful.
Our isolation ward is kept clear for our most “at risk” patients. Protecting the health and wellbeing of all our patients is paramount, without compromising the care and attention your pets need.
Cat Wards
In addition to being separate to our dog ward, our cat ward kennels have clear plastic doors, raised platforms and hideaways. The clear door allows unrestricted monitoring of their condition by our staff, whilst the platforms and hides allow any cat with us to get up high or hide in a safe place to help them manage their stress.
Dog Wards
Separate from our cat wards, we have a bank of kennels that are comfortable and secure for our patients. With two large walk-in kennels complimenting our smaller units, we can care for pets of all different sizes.
Can I visit my pet in the kennels?
In normal circumstances, at the discretion of the vet, we are happy to let you visit your pet.
For pets in isolation we will not allow you to enter as this will put those pets held in isolation at greater risk.
However, with the current COVID-19 pandemic, we will not be able to allow clients into the kennels or cattery.
